భిక్ష - పంచ మహాయజ్ఞాలు

గృహస్థులుగా ఉన్నవారు అన్నం వండుకొని మొట్టమొదటగా యతులకు, బ్రహ్మచారులకు భోజనం పెట్టాలి. అప్పుడు మాత్రమే వారు స్వీకరించాలి. బాబా గృహస్థులు కారు. వారు ఒక ఫకీరులా జీవనం సాగించారు. ఈషణ త్రయాలు లేనివారు భిక్షకు అర్హులు. ఈషణ త్రయం అంటే సంతానం పైన, ధనం పైన మరియు లోకంపైనా ఉన్న మోహాలు. ఈ మోహాలే మనలను బాధలకు గురిచేస్తాయి.  మనం ఆహరం తయారు చేసేటప్పుడు చాలా ప్రాణులు చనిపోతాయి. చాలామంది కష్టపడితే కాని ఈ ఆహారం మన దాకా రాలేదు. ఈ రకంగా వచ్చే పాపాలను పంచ సూనాలు అంటారు. వీటినుంచి తప్పించుకోవాలి అంటే మనం పంచ మహా యజ్ఞాలు అనేవి చేయాలి. ఈ పంచమహాయజ్ఞాలలో ఒకటి అయిన అతిధి యజ్ఞం భిక్ష ద్వారా బాబా చేయించారు. బాబా ఐదు ఇళ్లలో రోజు భిక్ష తీసుకొనే వారు. అలానే దక్షిణ రూపంలో అందరి దగ్గరినుంచి పాపాలను పోగెట్టే వారు. ఇలా ఇంటి దగ్గరే ఉండి బాబాకు భిక్ష ఇచ్చినవారు ఎంతో పుణ్యాత్ములు.  ఈ ఆహరం మనం స్వీకరించే ముందు భగవంతునికి సమర్పించడం కూడా అందుకే. అలా సమ్పర్పిస్తే దాని ద్వారా వచ్చే పంచ సూనాల నుంచి మనం విముక్తి పొందుతాము అని బాబా మనకు నేర్పిస్తున్నారు. 

పంచమహా యజ్ఞాలు ఏమిటో చూద్దాము. 

బ్రహ్మ యజ్ఞము - వేదాలను, మన శాస్త్రాలను పారాయణ చేయడమే బ్రహ్మ యజ్ఞము. 

పితృ యజ్ఞము - పితృ దేవతలకు ఇచ్చే ప్రసాదం. 

దేవ  యజ్ఞము - దేవతలకు నైవేద్యం  ఇవ్వడం. 

భూత యజ్ఞము - సర్వ జీవులకు ఆహరం సమర్పించడం.  

అతిధి యజ్ఞము - మనం ఆహ్వానించని అతిధులకు ఆహరం పెట్టడం. 

మనం దేవుడికి సమర్పించేవి నిజంగా దేవుడు తీసుకుంటాడా అని కొంతమందికి సందేహం ఉండచ్చు. బాబా ఎన్నోసార్లు తనకు సమర్పించినవి స్వీకరించినట్లు చూపించడం జరిగింది. మనసులో కేవలం ప్రేమ ఉంటే చాలు. ఎవరితోనైనా బాబాకు ఏదైనా పంపితే, తెచ్చినవారు మర్చిపోయినా బాబా అడగడం మర్చిపోయేవారు కారు. రొట్టె, కూర, పాలకోవా కాని దృఢమైన భక్తితో ఇవ్వాలి. అలాంటి భక్తులు తటస్థ పడితే బాబాకు ప్రేమ ఉప్పొంగేది.

ఎవరిమనసులో ఏ భావం ఉంటె దానికి అనుగుణంగా అనుభవాలు కలుగచేసి భక్తుల గౌరవాన్ని నిలబెట్టేవారు సాయి. సర్వ జీవులలోను భగవంతుడిని చూడాలి అని బాబా మనకు నేర్పిస్తున్నారు.  ఇదే సర్వమతాలు బోధించే సత్యం. మనం సమర్పించే నైవేద్యం తప్పకుండా బాబా స్వీకరిస్తారు అని గ్రహించాలి. ఇక్కడ మనం తెలుసుకోవాల్సిన సత్యం ఏమిటి అంటే; బాబా సర్వాంతర్యామి. ఎలాగైతే ఒక జీవి స్వీకరిస్తే తాను తీసుకున్నట్లు బాబా చెప్తారో, అలానే బాబాకి నైవేద్యం ఇస్తే సర్వ జీవులకు అన్నం పెట్టినట్లే అని మనం తెలుసుకోవాలి. కేవలం మన కోరికల కోసమే నైవేద్యం పెట్టడం కాకుండా అన్ని జీవులకు ఆహరం బాబా ఇవ్వాలి అని మనం కోరుకోవాలి.

Alms - Pancha Mahayagnas

Household needs to serve the saints and by doing so they want to takeaway the sins related to Panchasoonas (Sins that are committed when preparing the food). The one who surrenders body- speech- mind and wealth at Sai’s feet, such a devotee is deeply loved by Sai. Without the five sacrifices, the householder is advised against eating the food. Every day he would go to five houses and remind the

hosts about the Attithi Yagna. So the persons were really fortunate who could sit at home and earn the ‘punya’.  Those people, who after performing the ‘panchmaha yagnas,’ ate the remaining food, were saved from the terrible and unknown five sins, because the sins were burnt. These five sins are the result of everyday activities and in preparing the food. In order to be free from these five sins, a householder has to perform these five ‘maha yagnas’, after which the sins are destroyed and attain purity. 

Brahma Yagna is reciting of Vedas;  

Pitru Yagna – offering food by encircling with water; 

Dev Yagna – offering food to the deities;

Bhoota Yagna – offering food to all creatures.

Attithi Yagna – Offering food to an uninvited guest who may come to the doorstep.

Baba gave simple solution to get rid of these sins and that is to offer to God first before we eat anything. 

 Sometimes people wonder whether God accepts the offerings that we offer during the puja. Baba proved so many times that he accepts from every devotee when they offer anything.

One should perceive God in all living beings. This is also acknowledged by all the Shashtras. We also have to realize that God accepts our offerings if we can offer them with pure devotion.
