In human life, the guru's place is pre-eminent. By keeping utmost faith in Guru alone, everything is obtained.
A devotee's entire strength is due to his guru. Devotion to the guru is superior to devotion to gods and goddesses.
The guru is the supreme being.

Sri Saisatcharita Chapter- 26

All objects of enjoyment related to the elements – in fact, the entire universe is contained within the soul as a reflection of a city in a mirror. The confusion is on account of Maya which is manifested. In reality, it (Maya) has not manifested. It is forever present in the Absolute. But it is also in the world bringing all the movable and immovable objects into being. Whatever is seen in the mirror does not exist in it. Like visions seen in a dream appear very real but on waking all that is gone. When one is awakened the dream world disappears. The joy of the light of Unity appears because of the Sadguru’s significant words.

Hemadpant gave us Sai manasa (mental prayer) puja in beautiful words.

You are the one to kindle me. You alone are the one to provoke my speech, so who am I to sing your praises? You are the doer who gets things done. To be always in your company is itself our study of the Scripture. Listening to your life story daily is itself our reading of religious texts. Chanting your name without wasting a moment is itself equivalent to doing ‘katha and kirtan’. This itself is our regular meditation and that is itself our satisfaction.

We do not wish to have such happiness which causes us to turn our backs on worship, Could there be any bigger obstacle in attaining the ultimate goal? Let my tears of joy be the warm water to wash your feet; Let me besmear your body with the sandal paste of pure love; Let me cover your body with the cloth of true faith. May this puja from my heart propitiate you better than the outward ritualistic one and endow you with pleasure and happiness. Let us offer the eight lotuses in the form of our eight very pure, satvik emotions and the fruit in the form of our concentrated mind. Let us apply ‘buka’ of devotion to the forehead. Let us tie the girdle of deep devoutness and place our neck on your toes. Then let us enjoy the tender and wonderful celebration.

Adorning him with the jewels of our love, let us wholeheartedly ward off the evil eye. Make a ‘chamar’ with our five ‘pranas’ and wave it before you to ward off the heat. After concluding such blissful worship, let us do the eight fold obeisance, offer fragrance and oblations of water. In this manner, we shall worship you, Sairaja, for our own welfare.

Mr. Panth
After serving Baba with manasa puja, now Hemadpanth talks about the story of Mr. Panth who was a disciple of another sadguru. Once he was traveling in a train where he meets his friends who are going to Shirdi to visit Baba. They pressure him to go with them and he accepts this offer reluctantly. once they go there, Panth gets a seizure and falls down. Everyone was frightened and tried to revive him. With Baba's blessing he becomes alert after a while. Then Baba tells him to be firm with his Guru be steady in his faith. Then Panth understood what Baba was saying and knew the significance of Baba's words. Baba never allowed anyone to even change anybody's religion and always encouraged to stay the course where ever you are.

Harischandra Pitale
The next story is about Harischandra Pitale whose son was suffering from severe form of epilepsy. Pitale tried all kinds of treatments for his son but he continued to have seizures. He lost his hope and once day heard about Baba through keertans of Dasganu Maharaj. Then decided to go to Shirdi with his family and seek the help of Baba. They go to Baba and prostrate in front of Baba. Immediately his son gets a violent seizure and loses consciousness. They feel terrible that he never had that kind of seizure. Then Mrs. Pitale starts crying. Baba reassures her and asks them to go to their lodging. After a while the boy regains his consciousness and everyone was haapy. Later on the family goes back to visit Baba. Baba then says to Mrs.Pitale as follows. "Have not all your thoughts, doubts and apprehensions calmed down now? Hari will protect him, who has got faith and patience." Mr. Pitale later wanted to take a leave from Baba after staying there for few days. Then Baba gives him blessings and says "Here is rupees 3 and I have given you 2 rupees before. Take these rupees and keep them in your shrine and worship them." Pitale could not understand what Baba was saying because this was the first time he met him. So he goes home and tells his mother about this mystery. Then his mother tells him that his father once took him to Akkalkota Maharaj when he was a child and he gave his father rupees 2 at that time to worship. Then everyone was amazed about Baba's greatness. This kindled devotion in Pitale.

Ambadekar
Lastly Hemadpanth writes about the story of Ambadekar who was a devotee of Baba. He served for 10 years in Abkari department and had to retire. He tries for another job and could not find one. The life became very difficult and 7 years gone by. He decided to kill him self in Shirdi. He goes there and wanted to take his life by drowning in a well. He sits near Dixit wada and waiting to jump into a well. Then another Baba devotee Sagun Meru Naik sees him and gives him a book of Akkalkota Maharaj to read. He opens the book and finds these words. What ever is destined has to be fully borne. All physical tribulations, diseases, even leprosy and all other problems, which we have because of our actions in the previous birth, unless they are fully borne, we can not be free from them, even by committing suicide. If this suffering remains unfinished, you have to be borne again. Therefore try to bear up with this trouble a little longer. Do not kill your self". Hearing these words put Ambadekar at ease decided to live. This strengthened his faith towards Baba. Baba inspired Sagun Naik to give this book to Ambadekar at the right time. Then he studied astrology and makes a living with more faith in his Guru.
